I stayed home today because I had my wisdom teeth pulled before the weekend. Usually when Kira takes a nap we tell her “love you”, “sweet dreams”, “don’t let the bed bugs bite” etc… or whatever else we feel like telling her. Things went a little different today when I went to put her down for a nap.

Daddy: Love you, Kira. 🙂
Kira: Looove youuu……tube. 😀
Daddy: 😐

Kira sometimes needs an attitude adjustment. Sometimes, it backfires and she comes up with a comeback that we just can’t do anything but laugh at. This was last night before we went to bed…

Daddy: Love you, Kira.
Kira: Love you only a little bit, daddy.
Mommy: Kira that’s very rude, you’re going to hurt daddy’s feelings.
Kira: WELL, when it’s wake up time and you turn the lights on you hurt MY eyes.

Last night we were in the kitchen while Kira was watching tv, eating snacks and playing. Next thing you know, we hear her saying something that we couldn’t really understand until she came closer to ask us.

Kira: Have you seen my butt?
Mommy & Daddy: LOL…. Your butt?
Kira: Yeah… have you seen it?
Mommy & Daddy: LOL
Kira: Buttttt… Where are you butt??

(Looking around on the floor and in between her legs)

Kira: Has anybody seen my butt??… Anybody??… Anybodyyyy??
Daddy: Kira come here, turn around. This is your butt right here!
Kira: Oh… hehe. There you are butt! 😀

Kira made a paper elephant today which sparked this gem…

Daddy: Kira you made a really cool elephant!
Kira: Tanks
Daddy: If you could be any animal, what would you be?
Kira: A zebwa! How ’bout you Daddy?
Daddy: Hmm…. I’m not sure. What animal do you think I should be?
Kira: A monkey!
Daddy: A monkey?! Why a monkey???
Kira: Yeaaah! Because you have a tail!
Daddy: No I don’t!
Kira: Yes you do! I saw it when you were taking a shower!
Daddy: ……………. (LOL) Kira I don’t have a tail!
Kira: Yes you do I saw it!

Daddy: Kira do you know how to spell your name?
Kira: K – straight line – R – A
Daddy: (holding in the laughter) Good job!!!

It’s 9:31pm and I thought Kira was asleep already. Next thing you know, I hear her walking down the steps.

Kira: Daddy what are you doing down here?
Daddy: Just browsing the internet
Kira: Are you coming upstairs soon?
Daddy: Yes in a few minutes… Why are you still awake?
Kira: I’m not sleepy…. I have to go peepee
Daddy: Ok… Where’s mommy?
Kira: She’s sleeping. (now on the toilet)
Daddy: Did you ask mommy if you can come downstairs?
Kira: Yes
Daddy: What did she say?
Kira: She said “yes”
Daddy: How did she say yes if she’s sleeping?
Kira: She’s sleep talking
Daddy: (LOL) 5 minutes Kira, in 5 minutes we’re going upstairs and going to bed ok?
Kira: But you need to do work, right???
Daddy: Nooo I’m done all my work
Kira: But don’t you have work to do on your computer? Can’t I stay with you?
Daddy: 5 minutes only!

If it’s a girl, Kira will share all of her stuff and teach her how to do things…

Mommy: What if it’s a boy?
Kira: I can jump in muddy puddles. Remember when Peppa jumped in muddy puddles?
Mommy: Yeah… What does that have to do with anything?
Kira: DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME???

Kira is still learning how to properly brush her teeth so when I do it, she never sits still and always likes to close her mouth.

Daddy: Stay still! Or else the toothbrush will go to the back of your throat and make you throw up!
Kira: Daddy….. I don’t know what you’re saying. You’re speaking in Chinese or Spanish or something.

Where the heck does she come up with this stuff?!?!

Another random conversation in the car struck up by the one and only…

Kira: Mommy are you mad?
Mommy: Nooo…. why?
Kira: Because I’m faster than you.

(Daddy and mommy look at each other and start cracking up)

Kira: What happened to Sleepin’ Blutee?
Mommy: She’s sleeping…
Kira: Nooo… she’s dead silly!

Kira: What’s the bad witches name?
Mommy: Malificent
Kira: Ooh… Malifisa
Mommy: No it’s Ma-li-fi-cent
Kira: Malifisa
Mommy: Malificent
Kira: Maflifisa
Mommy: It’s MalifiCENT
