Lola Neni: Kira, do you have a gift for your mom?
Kira: Yes
Lola Neni: How about for me?
Kira: It is Mother’s Day. You know, MOTHERS. Not Grandmother’s Day. Ask your daughter. You are Krissy’s mother.

In the car today, Kira handed me a letter and asked me to read it.
(Insert proud parent moment)

Then she handed me this letter.

I asked, “Are you OK? What happened?”
She said, “I smacked myself in the face.”
“And why did you do that???”
“I was watching Hayden pull stuff out of the mat and did a facepalm.”

Kira’s new thing is saying “Everyone says…”. So yesterday I asked her “Who’s everyone?” She says, “I don’t know. Me?”

Today…
Mommy: How do you know some people say it if you’ve never heard anyone say it?
Kira: I dunno…..
Kira: Legend says…

Kira: When I raise my hand in school will the teacher ask me if I have a question?
Daddy: Yup – if you have a question or an answer just raise your hand and your teacher will call on you.
Kira: Ok

(a few minutes later I see Kira’s hand in the air)

Daddy: Yes Kira?
