After work I picked up Kira and told her we were going to The Seafood Stop to pick up crabs for dinner.

Kira: Daddy, what’s The Seafood Shop?
Daddy: It’s called The Seafood Stop and they sell seafood. We’re going to eat crabs tonight for dinner.
Kira: We’re going to see all the sea animals there???
Daddy: I guess so? They’re not alive though because they’re cooked so people can eat them.
Kira: But they have any alive animals?
Daddy: Maybe….. we’ll see.

(Pull up to The Seafood Stop)

Kira: Yayyyy we’re here to see the animals!
Daddy: Yup we’re here to buy the crabs now! They might have shrimps and fish too!
Kira: Oh goody!

(Walk inside the store and Kira yells at the top of her lungs…)

Kira: THEY’RE ALL DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The ladies behind the counter start laughing and try to console her, “Sorry hun, we don’t have any live ones right now. Maybe if you come in the morning we can show you some live ones!”

Kira: I want to go to the Pet Shop NOW.

On the way home from picking her up today…

Kira: I talked to Grandma on the phone yesterday.
Daddy: Yeah you did! Wasn’t that nice?
Kira: Yeah it was! I like talking to Grandma. When I was a little baby I sat on Lola Luz’s lap and she tried to carry me.
Daddy: You remember that???
Kira: Yeah I do! I do remember!

Daddy: Kira, what do you think about going to pre-school?
Kira: Ok!!!! I want to go to the Montessori school, I like that school!
Daddy: Ok, well we can look at other schools too.
Kira: But they’re not a good fit. Montessori school is a good fit!
Daddy: (lol) We’ll see Kira… We have to look at other schools too! You’re excited huh?
Kira: Yes I am! I can’t wait to go to school, it’s going to be so much fun!
Daddy & Kira: YAY!!!!!
