Kian got a lego table for his birthday and I opened the box to put the table together but left the lego toys and attachments in their sealed bags in the box since he already had other lego’s to play with. I had specifically told Kira why I didn’t open them and told her not to open them too.

Last night at the dinner table while we were eating she looks at me and says…

Kira: Daddy I can’t believe I’m going to tell you this but…
Daddy: Tell me what?
Kira: You know Kian’s lego table? Me and Tita MG opened the bags for him. I know I wasn’t allowed to…
Daddy: …….. Well thanks for telling me Kira. I’m glad that you were honest about it.
Kira: You’re welcome.

Usually I would have gotten mad and said something like “KIRA! I told you NOT to open them!” But the way she framed it and set me up the way she did, the way she does COUNTLESS times, I just couldn’t get mad. This girl is good, really good.
