Usually we assist Kira in praying before she sleeps by having her repeat after us. Tonight was her first solo prayer and it was one of the cutest and most joyful things we’ve ever heard.

Dear Jesus, we love you so much for who you are. Thank you for all my family and all the food.
We will have a birthday party for you on Christmas and give our family gifts. Everybody will
be together, my family and my cousins. I love all my family. Thank you for Krissy’s mom and
dad, and thank you for daddy’s mom and dad. The end.

Mommy: Kira say “Amen” at the end of your prayer.
Kira: Amen…. the end.
