On the way home from picking her up today…

Kira: I talked to Grandma on the phone yesterday.
Daddy: Yeah you did! Wasn’t that nice?
Kira: Yeah it was! I like talking to Grandma. When I was a little baby I sat on Lola Luz’s lap and she tried to carry me.
Daddy: You remember that???
Kira: Yeah I do! I do remember!

Daddy: Kira, what do you think about going to pre-school?
Kira: Ok!!!! I want to go to the Montessori school, I like that school!
Daddy: Ok, well we can look at other schools too.
Kira: But they’re not a good fit. Montessori school is a good fit!
Daddy: (lol) We’ll see Kira… We have to look at other schools too! You’re excited huh?
Kira: Yes I am! I can’t wait to go to school, it’s going to be so much fun!
Daddy & Kira: YAY!!!!!

Kira was looking through our wedding album and had some interesting things to say.

Kira: Mommy is married to you daddy?
Daddy: Yes we are married because we love each other so much.
Kira: But I’m going to miss youuuu!
Daddy: Why??? We’re not going anywhere! We’re going to stay with you forever.
Kira: Ok…

(a few minutes later I hear her say to herself…)

Kira: When I get married I want mommy and daddy to be with me.
Daddy: Awwww Kira that’s so sweet! Of course we’ll be with you!!!!
Kira: Nooo, no, no, no, no! (laughing) I didn’t say anything! 😀

While getting ready to go to a party…

Kira: Daddy, what you doin’?
Daddy: Cutting my nails.
Kira: Why you cuttin’ your nails?
Daddy: Because nails grow.
Kira: Nails don’t grow, people grow!

(about 5 minutes later)

Kira: How time you cut your nails?
Daddy: Do you mean what time, or how long?
Kira: How long time to cut your nails?
Daddy: Kira, say “How long will it take to cut your nails?”
Kira: How long in time to cut your nails?
Daddy: ……..(sigh)…. A few minutes, Kira.
